The fertile Buckland Valley landscape bears a remarkable resemblance
to the imposing hills of old Calabria. And like the deep south of Italy,
this largely unexplored region captured the imagination of owner Colin
McLaren when choosing the site for his stylish Villa Gusto.
 Colin's
love affair with all things Italian was born half a lifetime ago. More
than 25 visits later and his eye for chic Italian design is well honed.
Coupled with a natural affinity for fine art, he has encapsulated the
ambiance of Italy, reflected beautifully in the suites of his Villa.
 Each
room embraces a colour theme, from the evocative deep sangiovese
red hues of ‘Rosso’ to the freshness of lemon ‘Limone’ of the Amalfi
coast and the seduction of chocolate in 'Cioccolato’. Dressed with
tapestries, adorned by 17th century furnishings, marble and fine porcelain the suites of Villa Gusto wrap their guests in life's finer
pleasures. And with Mt Buffalo overlooking, Villa Gusto's stunning
dining room is bathed in summer sunshine or touched by the glow of
winter log fires.
Sit, relax and take in the ‘chic’ of the only villa
outside of Italy, and the finest southern Italian menus in Australia.
